An LED sign at the community center is an unnecessary expense.

A digital sign is not needed. In fact the current sign is redundant & no longer needed either. There are other more effective communication mediums in use: Facebook page, email blasts, website & crest website.

This sign would be an eyesore and would not fit our aesthetics.

1. That road already has enough issues and distracting drivers to read while going 40mph+ doesn’t help.
2. It’s light pollution and adds to harm for the eco system.
3. This community fought to get HEB, Sonic and Villasports to NOT have an led board so the community has been clear and consistent on this topic.
4. We don’t have a ton to put in there anyway so needing to change it in a moments notice isn’t really needed.
5. The cost for it plus upkeep makes it a poor valve.
6. With the level of lightening strikes and power surges the community gets this is a recipe for disaster. The surge protectors historically haven’t been great on HOA property.
7. They are ugly.
With that said, I do hope the sign gets a renovation as it looks horrible. I just don’t think an electric one is the solution.

I can’t see this being the best use of our money.
