Hi Everyone,
We, as Cohort 6, would like to start a precedence that each cohort fund raises for their own graduation and money is kept separate. In the instance that there is a joint fundraiser, it will be advertised as such and the money will be split 3 ways (into each active cohort). The current plan allows all of the fundraising efforts for that year to go to the graduating cohort. It is our belief that if each cohort is responsible for their own fundraising, there will be more buy-in and participation as a group, throughout their years in the program.
Obviously there have already been two fundraisers this year with both proceeds scheduled going to the general fund and Cohort 5 graduation. We would like to suggest that going further, all fundraisers are A) labeled with where the money is going, and B) Cohort specific.

The feedback I have received from members across multiple cohorts confirms that our current fundraising model requires a more transparent approach. I have been preparing a detailed presentation regarding these proposed changes for our upcoming meeting.

Makes sense. Why should we work our tails off just to fund the other guys graduation? Keep it separate.
