I was just standing in the mile long queue for that burnt vending machine sludge again and it really hit me how much we actually need a real espresso bar on campus. People have been messaging me their own horror stories about the current cafeteria situation and honestly it is making me even more determined to get us some decent beans since we are all running on fumes anyway.

I really thought this might just be a total pipe dream but the way the numbers are climbing is genuinely surreal. It feels like everyone is just as desperate for a decent espresso as I am which is both comforting and kind of hilarious in a way.

I have to bring a flask everyday to get half decent coffee... Is it too mucht to ask for a real enjoyable cup of coffee at a decent price...
Most universities have coffee shops and the coffee sold in the caf is not up to standard
Please can we have some real coffee on campus . I’m sick of this burnt dish water I have to buy
The coffee at UCT is absolutely repulsive and to get a decent cup you have to sell your grandmother. We need a coffee company or companies selling quality coffee at reasonable prices to students on campus.
Honestly anything is better than the sludge they serve at the canteen right now. My 8am lectures are impossible without actual caffeine

PLEASE bring coffee to med school! We never have a permanent coffee vendor at all and desperately need one
