As consoles get more advanced, video games become more expensive. You can pay anywhere between £40 and £60 for a brand new game. Many of these games have online multiplayer games. The best example of this is the 'Call of Duty' Series. However there are many players out there that are using crack codes, and hacks to get an unfair advantage over the rest of us. The cheats allow them to see through walls, see through smoke and fog, teleport across the map, and have unlimited ammo, these are just a few examples. For the past six months our clan (at www.team101.co.uk) have been campaigning with PlayStation network to try and get this sorted. Unfortunately as PlayStation are only the service providers there is not much they can do. Whenever we have got in touch with Activison or Infinity Ward, they have sent us backwards and forward without an answer. We were told in 2009 they were releasing a patch that would stop the hacking, however as yet it seems to have done very little. Once we have a successful petition, Activision and Infinity ward will have to start taking the gaming community seriously across all platforms, and fix the problem instead of just consuming our money. This petition is not just for our clan, it is for all gamers, anyone who has experienced the frustration of lag, and trying kill someone who won't die. It is not just for PlayStation players, it is for xbox and nintendo too. If we all join up as one, instead of three seperate groups they will have to take us seriously.
