It’s such a shame that a pub with good potential has been ‘mothballed’, the last landlords let us down by running it badly and now the current owners are letting fall to bits - surely the local council can draw upon powers to see it opened or passed on to a willing landlord?

As having drank in The Cock Inn for 20 years and worked there for four years this pub is very important to me. It was always the hub of the village where people would meet, some amazing nights were had there. If I could’ve saved it myself, I would’ve done. It was a drinkers pub.

The pub is so long awaited by the residents as a community asset, it is currently an eyesore and urgently needs sorting out…

I completely agree that something needs to be done about the state of The Cock Inn and would love to see it restored to a beautiful pub that our community deserves.

Been left in disrepair for too long. Bad image for what was once a lovely, tidy village.

The cock inn has been an integral part of my life since 1965 when I came to the village . I worked there for many years during the 1970’s and celebrated many happy events there. To see it as it is now is devastating . It was the heart of the village then . We need a pub where we can meet and socialize like we used to.

Pub please, before we have squatters moving in. Though at least then the pub would be better looked after.
