Our family is opposed to smart grid technology and we do not consent to SSVEC installing a smart meter on our home.

I do not want Smart Metering anywhere near my 40 acres at Cascabel, that I've owned since 1983.

You are SMART if you reject something that kills insects, plants, animals and humans. We all need to get balanced again with nature not with man-made microwave radiation!!!!

We live in a rural and remote area....and fear the fires reported with meters. A fire could desimate our entire region!

I have been planning on buying land and retiring to AZ in two years, to be closer to a parent and to find a non-toxic place to live. Please keep this area "free and clear." Thank you.

Although I'm in Pima County I spend overnight times with my friends in Cascabel & I can not tolerate being around "smart" or radio- based meters for any longer than 1 to 3 hours as they give me headaches, blurry vision, the jitters, & brain fog, & heart palpitations. I pay extra with TEP to keep my very old meter as I certainly can't have a smart meter making me sick. I'm in a desert area with 1 acre parcels, brick houses, & elderly people & loads of desert washes & vegetation. I'm not near any telephone poles & my computer & phone are hard wired. I am a board member in a support group called HEAL of So. Az. for people injured by wireless radiation.

I am against the "smart" grid. In the past four years I have moved three times because of RF technology and this impending atrocity is more threatening than anything I've had to deal with so far.

Worse thing to ever happen was to have smart meter connected where i live.

I am a native Arizonan. I am trying to move out of smart-metered area I am in now because wireless radiation makes me very ill. This radiation will harm our precious wildlife as well. There are plenty of scientific studies demonstrating this. Remember the old days when people read their own meter and the utility came out once a year to true it up? That would save a lot of money!

Please no "smart" meters !!

What about the ADA's protections for people with disabilities, including EHS? I would think the Utility would legally be required to honor that.

SSVEC has told us that the reason they are attempting to replace our existing AMR meters is that because they can no longer obtain parts for these meters 'in their supply chain'. We have learned through the Corporation Commission that they have taken on $4million plus in debt in order to make this change. This explanation begs many questions. How many years of service life remain in our existing meters, and how could this expense be justified?...couldnt individual meters in need of repair be replaced one by one at a fraction of the cost? How many other electric companies in the country---and the world, are able to find in their supply chains approved meters that are not radio-transmission based for anyone who wishes to opt-out? The new radio-based meters would use the ISM frequency band (902-928Mhz) and require construction of transmission towers to be built with unspecified spacing over the SSVEC customer base. The new meters would require an entirely new infrastructure for collecting data---moving from wire-based to radio-based. How is this a good business decision? There is nothing wrong with the current system, and there is no -customer- benefit to the new system. It should be considered an ANTI-service, adding debt that customers must eventually pay off, adding EMF pollution to the environment, contributing to illness. Customers, especially those who experience illness due to EMF radiation, -must- be able to opt out of this intrusion. We have learned that the Arizona's electric cooperatives have been given permission by the ACC to not offer an opt-out option. This is wrong and must be corrected, as we are forced to buy our electricity from SSVEC due to its government-granted monopoly. How ironic that our alleged customer-owned and service oriented "co-op" offends its customers with forced radio-based meters while the big players in Tucson and Phoenix at least offer an opt-out. What is the -real- reason for this very bad decision??
