Unsure why this area is blocked. This provides unfair competition and limits choices for area customers. Portability is a necessity to provide equal service to area customers.

Extremely important to service our customers in this area! Cobourg is an excellent community thousands of landlines.

Consumers should have the right to do business with a company that best suites their needs vs. being forced to only deal with a monopoly that controls the marketplace. (Bell)

This is of paramount importance if the IBOsin the area are to continue in and expand their business...after having been a realtor for over 20 years I must be able to port my cell phone number and currently cannot. My cell number is the back bone to my real estate business. I also move many buyers to thisarea and they often look into being a customer only to find out their is no local number available to them ...or no land line at all available to them I just had this situaltion with a couple fom Russia moving to the area of Grafton...just east of Cobourg...they asked me for services and unfortunately it was not available for them ...although they were easily able to be accomodated by Bell with both internet and landline. My IBOs have had difficulty getting service in downtown Cobourg...and have been told by Acn tech that the service is not strong enough for their digital phone to work...interestingly they had no problem being accomodated by Bell and /or Cogeco.

We have a business in the Cobourg area that is unable to use this service to help the small business person save money.

I have had 2 customer phone + internet cancelled because I cannot port the number or believe it or not, because there were no lines available!
