I have to say that the reason the boys' dress code is so simple is that basically, the only things boys can wear are shorts, jeans, sweats, t-shirts, long shirts, (suit maybe?). Girls have like three times more clothing items they could wear that's why the GIrls dress code is messy.

The dress code is ridiculous. It is disctracting everyone from our education. We have to worry about what we are going to wear because we have so many restrictions. Every time I go to school in the morning, all I worry about is getting dress coded because since there are so many rules, who knows what’s against dress code anymore. If I show a shoulder or my knees, etc.., they think it will “distract boys”. That goes to show that a boys education is more important than a girls education because I have never seen a boy get dress coded and girls end up in ISS and get pulled away from getting educated. That’s so annoying and ridiculous. I know that boys do have to worry about dress code as well but girls have more to worry about with dress code because there are so many restrictions on what we can’t wear. I will say that boys should be able to wear athletic shorts because it doesn’t make since on why not. It’s not like we are asking to be able to come to school half naked, we just want to be able to go to school to get our education and be comfortable. Also, the bandanna thing is so stupid. It’s not a “gang symbol”. Everyone wears it. When I see someone with a bandanna I’m not going think “omg they are apart of a gang” like wtf. That’s so dumb.
