With the outsourcing of our current Coatesville Area School District's custodians, the safety of all of our students and faculty could be at risk. The men and women who keep our district, including our beautiful high school campus clean, will be downgraded for their honor and commitment to our buildings. Most of them being Coatesville graduates as well, they share the pride that we also carry through our city. They would not want to see the place they grew up, and now work for, go to shame. This is purely a business decision that will minimally effect the bottom line. Saving a fraction of a percent by hiring a company like Service Master or Aramark could put everyone in danger. Our students will be walking around a place that is meant to be safe, with people who they don't even know have their background checks. There are several reviews stating damaged property that they were not willing to take the blame for at previously contracted jobs.Why would we want anyone who is going to make our already ridiculed city, worse in its name. Many departments in our District have put out a lot of money for our learning equipment. Calculators, microscopes, and even our fitness apparatus could be stolen by strangers that won't be seen again. With custodians as trustworthy as ours, we don't need to worry about items being taken because those items are considered theirs as well. With companies like this one, no one ever knows who will be where at any given moment meaning; there will be no consistency of cleanliness in any particular classroom. Without given a raise in four years, our custodians still managed to withhold or even upgrade their work ethic. Walking through the hall ways, many are as respectful to give a friendly remark to let our students and faculty know that they genuinely care. Outsources or even cutting the pay of our custodians will result in a horrible outcome, so what would be the good in putting our district at risk for failure? Without the mutual respect in our buildings for, and from custodians like our own, we would not have created such a safe place for our students to spend their many years of education.

The buildings won't be taken as well as a home grown staff, well maybe at first.
my father is a custodian at friendship elementary and the kids all love him there please don't endanger the children anymore!
The custodians do so much to support every after school activity! They are part of our school district's family
I am completely against outsourcing the jobs of our hardworking, dedicated custodians.
Unfair, and going to end up costing your more. Keep the loyal people you have working for you now.
I have rented Rainbow many of times for township events. They were always friendly and very helpful. They took proud in their work. They are a very valuable asset.
They help us more than any outside company would.

I've never gotten more support and motivation than I have from some of theses men and women that take their time to come and help me and my colorguard some nights when we need them most. Thank you
