I join my voice with other citizens to ask that the historic Franklin School, designed by the noted architect Adolf Cluss between 1865 and 1869, be retained and restored for public use for a worthy educational and cultural use, remembering its local, national, and international significance as a model school.
NOTE TO WARD 2 RESIDENTS: As the Franklin School is in Ward 2, your support is particularly important. Please note that you are a Ward 2 resident in the comments box.

Keep history alive in DC.
WARD 2 RESIDENT. Franklin school is an icon and needs to be saved before it falls apart completely.
This building is beautiful and we cant just let it sit empty forever. Please fix it up for the community.
Used to pass by this place every day and its such a shame to see it boarded up. Make it a museum or something useful.
ADOLF CLUSS designs deserve better than what the city is doing. restore it!
Surely something can be done to keep Franklin School functioning for us!

I live in Ward 2 and would love to see this turned into a cultural hub for everyone to enjoy. Stop the decay.
