I personally vouch for this petition because I myself have experienced the hardship and struggles that come without having the computer lab. The lab was my closest friend in architecture before getting my laptop in 3rd year of 2017. When they took the lab away, it was a the worse thing they could of done.

The computer lab was a resource that cannot be matched by anything other than it's like. A computer work area that is permanent, that promotes collegiate social interaction, and that is conducive to long work hours is crucial for a top school to remain viewed as a place that cares about student work and well-being. It is hard to put into words how the space was valued and activated by the students within, how much more the space was to us than a room full of computers.
I am hopeful another such space can re-emerge within the A+A.

As a former student and the sister of an incoming freshman, the importance of the computer lab cannot be understated. The majority of my classmates had to work in the lab for varied periods of time while having their computers repaired. Please reinstate the student computer lab!
