I've known Mike Hernandez for over 15 years and this man knows and loves basketball. He not only motivates many of us to be better people because he is one of the best people I've known but he also has a passion to help young athletes by mentoring them at the game he loves. I have No doubt Mike Hernandez will be a great fit as head coach for WHS basketball.

Coach Mike has been training my son in private practice. My son has been playing basketball since he was 6 years old, currently in Jr. High. I look forward to sending my son to Whittier if coach Mike is the lead coach.

Mike is an awesome coach/person who is very dedicated to coaching basketball. He has been my son's trainer and has been able to bring out the best in my son. I highly recommend him as a coach and whoever passes him up would be at a loss. Thanks for all you do coach Mike! "Shock the body"!
