He was an amazing coach and mentor to so many kids that lived in Mission. He is still a legend for our city and was known around our state for his hard work as a basketball coach.

I’m happy to sign the petition. Since high school at Los Fresnos, he has been a Falcon friend. Always smiling and willing to lend a helping hand. An all-around great guy. He is so deserving of this statute.

There are not many coaches at his level for both as a person and as a coach. He was strict both on and off the court but the strictness came from his love of wanting his players to succeed in life. Basketball was just his tool of getting students to succeed. I fully support this petition. With coaches such as Coach Garcia, the world would definitelh be a better place.
