I feel as if us Colorado students have the capability and enough understanding of what is going on in our public school system, communities, and state as a whole. We deserve the right to make decisions on behalf of the state we live in and the people who will make the bigger picture decisions on behalf of us as well. We are not small minded individuals and understand what is going on in our society and can make consious decisons on what we believe is right, humane, and best for our communities.

For students to be the "priority" of the school board why are people mainly who have already graduated representing us as if it effects them, so it only makes since to let us vote on how the school board influences our education.

Ahmed Eltayeb gave an amazing presentation at DSST Stapleton that truly embodied the message of SV2 and why 16 should be the new voting age for school board elections.

A student at my school, Ahmed Eltayeb, gave an amazing presentation emphasizing the importance of student voice even at 16. I felt really empowered with Ahmed's presentation.

I'm a school leader who wants to start the conversation in my high school. I'm also working with a group who want representation by having students vote at 16.

Allowing students to vote in board elections has a lot of positive impacts. In my mind the best impact is one that is underlying. Engaging students in the political system gets rid of the dissolutionment that our voice doesn't matter. If we getting involved and see results then we'll be more likely to be active in politics later in life, which cannot be a bad thing.

By letting us have the responsibility to vote we get to shape the community how WE want it to be.

The young people I work with are more than capable of making well-educated decisions for their state and their communities.
