Washington(CNN) reported that President Barack Obama is not just heading to his father's homeland, but to a region that's a hotbed of terror. We as Kenyan citizens view this as unacceptable and in bad faith . We hereby petition our beloved government to write and demand a written apology from the international media house.
Reaching this point has been an exhausting uphill climb but seeing this level of momentum proves we are not alone in our frustration. It is draining to demand respect for our home against such powerful outlets yet your resolve keeps me moving forward.

It is very malicious of them to refer to a country that is facing terrorism yet Kenya is being attacked because we fought for the Americans who were being terrorised on Kenyan soil. We are in this because of you.

CNN should apologize. It is unethical to taint Kenya as a nation. Kenya is not Yemen. Kenya is not Iraq. Kenya has a terrorism problem, but it is unfair to exaggerate it.

Irresponsible reporting just so to make headlines is poor, cheap, biased journalism, which shows the rot in a supposed reputable media house as CNN, retracting or rephrasing your statement isn't good enough, we demand an apology.

CNN should know Kenya liberated Kismayu in Somalia while US failed all these years.Did they call US 9/11 attack as a hotbed of terror or Boston Marathon attack by one of their own citizens? CNN journalists just know Kenya doesn't engage with people of myopic reasoning!!The whole world was in Nyeri for Beatification of Sister Irene.John Kerry came and left.Thousands are already trouping into Kenya for GES 2015.Mind your language CNN

CNN just exhibited irresponsible journalism and owes a big apology to the esteemed citizens of this beautiful country, Kenya.
