We need this rink for many reasons. Young athletes learn many life skills, special needs kids have a great program, and it's a great place for adults too!

Please save sugarland ice, we need more rinks in the Houston area not less. The loss of this rink would seriously effect the already dying sport of youth hockey.

My child currently attends Sugar Land Ice as a skater and wants to learn to play hockey. I've played myself for several years and have seen the positive benefits the sport has on individuals and the community.
In order create demand, there must be a supply of ice and with SLICE down, there are 3 sheets of ice in a metro area of 6.5 m residents. With a population that size to serve, far too many would be ice sporting participants will simply be turned off by the lack of accessability to ice time and will deploy their sports/entertainment dollars elsewhere.
In order for ice sports to stand a chance, there must be venue availability. Other southern areas such as Tampa Bay and Dallas have demonstrated that ice sports are viable in non traditional markets.
