This has been the best facility for weekly events and tournaments for years. It is everything ice skating, not just a hockey facility. If the City of Sugar Land lets SLICE go it will sorely regret the loss particularly when the cost of replacement is considered. And your citizens will want a new facility.

I've been a volunteer Ice Hockey Coach for 11 years. Keeping our meager few Houston area ice rinks open is critical to the number of kids who love hockey and shutting the rink would end their dreams. For many kids hockey is a major part of their life and gives them something positive to do. It instills hard work ethic in our kids. It would be a horrible effect on youth hockey in the Houston area to loose 2 of the mere 5 sheets of ice that we have. If there is anyone who has the financial means (local government or investor) please consider to help save our hockey community.

This is where I laced up my first pair of skates. This place will forever hold a special place in my heart no matter where I go.

Sugarland Ice has a rich history with hockey and the Sugarland/Metro area of Houston. It is a integral part of youth hockey development and is significant to children and adults alike. Keep the rink open. There is a market for hockey, figure skating and all things ice in the Houston area. Do not let these dreams die. Allow Sugarland Ice to live the legacy it it destined for.

My daughter spends 5 days a week at the rink, it is like our second home. We already had to relocate once when space city closed

One of the best organizations to teach our children not only how to skate, but the value of hard work, teamwork, and creativity. The loss of this facility would be devastating for the community.

Please keep the ice rink open-Starskaters is the only ice skating program for our special needs kids/adults. My daughter will be devastated if she can't continue to skate with the Starskaters!
