My family has spent countless hours at SLICE, with 2 sons (and me) involved in hockey throughout our lives. SLICE has made a very positive contribution for all of us!

The main reason I travel to Sugar Land and shop, buy gas, visit restaurants is because of the area there. Please save the rink.

I used to skate here and I miss it so much! It was my second home and I made so many memories here and I would hate to see it close down.

I grew up playing here and I'm still playing today almost 20 years later. I'd love to see a solution that allows this rink stay open as it's a vital part of the hockey community in Houston.

Support these staples of the community, serving 1000s of recreationists, families, & hundreds of young athletes (figure skaters, hockey players, sled skaters) in a safe, family-friendly setting. Ridiculously, Millions of $$ go towards football stadiums with only a fraction of the impact of a community ice rink.

As a father of a 4 and 3 year old who are just getting into skating I would find it devastating to loose this facility. I have not found another place in Houston that has the facility or the community necessary to cultivate young skaters. The area would lose a generation of future skaters and in turn be devastating to a unique part of this community.

You really don't want to piss off a bunch of hockey players, especially when they don't even have that Canadian "oh sorry" apologetic element to them, believe me.

Keep Ice Sports alive in Sugarland. Not only is hockey impacted but close friends of ours teach figure skating and this will impact her livelihood.

This is a real asset to the community! I have played there for 15 years -- let's do everything we can to keep it. Thanks.

Please help to keep this rink viable. The ice rink has become part of the community and it is the role of government to facilitate good community institutions and the rink is one of them

Sugar Land is not only an integral part of the community in regards to RECREATION as already detailed in this petition but in regards to the Sugar Land ECONOMY: restaurants, hotels, shopping, etc. In addition to the plethora of local folks who frequent Sugar Land businesses, the rink activities/users attract thousands of out-of-town folks who also support our local economy.
