Please do not close the facility this is only on of its kind facility in Sugarland and surrounding towns. Kids and adults both come to learn skate and play hockey. Not being close to snow this is one gives opportunity for learning and playing winter sport.

I am sure the monet will be found to keep this unbelievable place open. Our grand son has been "learning" to skate for many years, actually from the very beginning of Star Skate. What Mrs. Willie started and has kept running for so many disadvantaged young people is an outstanding social service.

PLEASE don't shut this rink down. I am a recent transplant from Colorado and am heartbroken that there are so FEW places I can play hockey down here. I don't know how this is the 4th largest metro area in the country and ice hockey is almost non-existent. I drive over an hour just to play every week. Don't close us down!!

Too many kids and families will be adversely affected by the ice center closing. It is a way of life for kids, adults and families.

As a rehab therapist for 20 years I was so impressed when I saw the video of STARSkaters. Also would be shame for a community to lose a facility that provides recreation for so many families and others. Children need more places like this and less online games.

I hate to think of ice rinks closing anywhere :( we lost ours in Southampton, UK in 1988 and it's still very much missed.. despite all the promises! It's important for many generations and especially our youngsters - I wish you luck x

Hi I am a bilateral amputee and back in July of 2015 I joined Star Skaters and everything since have found a part of of me that loves the freedom I feel when on the ice with teammates and volunteers I think this is a program that has and can continue to change lives like it has Mine !! Please I ask to really take into consideration about others with keeping these doors open for people that can also find something they enjoy to do .
Thank You ..

Our community thrives when opportunities for participation in many sports exist. Some sports need only a ball and some need a rink. The artistic and physical challenge of figure skating, and the energy and team aspects of hockey are just two of those that need ice. Our diverse community supports and derserves an ice rink where all of us can come to compete or to play.
