I spent countless hours at this rink with my daughter and son growing up, figure skating and hockey. I volunteered my time freely with competitions and monitoring. This rink produced an Olympic champion and Junior and senior world medalists. You have Olympic skaters on staff and you are closing?? Keep it open. Kids learn here how to cope with life.

My son, Thomas is a paraplegic and has benefited from the Star Skaters sled hockey program. This rink is a vital part of the community!

Both of our kids learned so much compassion volunteering for the Star skate program! Its amazing to see how happy those kids are (as well as the instructors) Our daughters first job was at SLICE and our son took his first 'Learn to skate' classes there (and is now in Juniors) This is our home away from home for so many years and the place I wanted to teach my nephews to skate in and eventually watch them play hockey in.

Please save the sugar land ice rink!!! Dude, we would seriously lose a bunch of awesomeness without the ice rink. SO SAVE IT!!!

I know that lots of families treasure this city landmark.

We went to several competitions at this rink. We were devastated when Space City Ice Station Closed and my daughter couldn't get to Sugarland to skate anymore. I hate to see other young skaters quit because there is no rink near them.

Please save this important part of our local community. We need this for our kids!

As a Michigan native and a lifelong Detroit Red Wings fan, I plead with you to keep SLICE open and suitably supported. I like the idea of funding the center under terms similar to our local public parks.

sounds like they really needs to save this place especially if it is keeping kids off the atreet and helping them to get mobile

My grandchildren skate here, and love it! This is a wonderful family activity for the members of the Sugar Land community.

I have had 2 sons (23 & 28 now) who played ice hockey in Houston, and the Houston area youth need the ice programs at all the rinks!

I hope the ice rink can be saved. It's such a positive thing for the area.

Please do not close it. It's a nice place where families/kiddos in Sugar Land can go to to get away from hot Texas weather and have fun.
