I am a senior citizen homeowner on a fixed income and am saddened & angry that Clairton elected officials don't care about the people. Why won't they use some of that CMA money being paid to the City to offset the financial burdens of the people who elected them? The city sold the CMA and will receive payments for 25 years from the sale. So, why not use the money from the sale to help the people?

I own property in Wilson this sewage affects me due to tenant having to pay the sewage bill. If the tenant leaves without paying the bill I will be responsible for the bill. I'm signing the petition in agreement that something must be down about this major financial problem.

Please help lower the cost so that we can all focus on paying our taxes, medicine, and utilities.I dont make that much and am squandering between paying this bill and that bill.

I am primary caregiver to a disabled family member. We survive on his SSI payments alone, currently. The CMA has disconnected our water several times despite sending them federal and state paperwork proving disability status. They do not care and will not work with anyone regarding hardship.
My flat fee is always higher than my actual sewer usage (several times higher). The rates go up and nothing has changed. We have tried our best to keep up with the grossly inflated rates but, in truth, it had destroyed our budget. :(

I live alone and my sewage bill is always over $80! I pay over $110 monthly to use the water and sewage in my home!

The sewage rates are absolutely unaffordable and the sewage people in Clairton are very rude and absolutely does not care what your financial situation is all they want is their money. I have 3 children living in Clairton and with these outrageous rates they threatened to cut the water off when the sewage bill got over $200(which isn't hard with a $75 flat rate plus water usage). They didn't care that I would've had the money a week later, they wanted their money that day plus $50 more for the people the shut off notice on my door. We residents in Clairton are being robbed and this illegal matter really needs looked into.
