The sewage base rate is higher than any other community in the valley. It's not fair for homeowners that occupy there homes to pay for homes that are abandoned.

There are multiple problems with CMA but two are 1 sewage bill is not tied to water usage, no payment arrangements can be made, others that use our facilities do not pay as much as we do

Signing this for my mom Helen DeCicco lives in Clairton and is a homeowner well over 85 years old and this is really hard for her and she does watch now how much water she uses. It's disgraceful what they are doing to these citizens.

We have been lied to! All along we were told the flat fee was being used to repay the bonds. However, nowhere in the bond agreement is there any mention of a flat fee in the repayment schedule. The people at the municipal authority think they can do whatever they want, but they forget they are a government entity and bound by specific laws. Where is the State Attorney General because her office has ultimate oversight of municipal authorities?

I have a house hold of 5 with 2 bathrooms and with the flat rate I'm paying to water bills and I'm a single parent of 4 and a college student and just started back working I can't afford it and I need help

This entire CMA situation is out of control. From the get go, every detail has been cloaked behind walls of secrecy and smoke and mirrors. You can't get a straight answer to fundamental questions and the Authority is running roughshod over this financially unstable town. It truly feels as though Clairton has been busted out by the mob with their, "Oh, you had to unexpectedly take your child to the hospital? Screw you, pay us. You got laid off or let go? Screw you, pay us" immoral and bordering on extortion billing practices. $50 a month flat fee + usage, for what? A bright and shiny new office and vehicles and plans already for yet another administration building on land recently purchased. Yet, to my knowledge, not an upgrade has been made to the actual sewage system. But the CMA board members (and spouses)have been busy travelling to a recent out of state convention on our dime, maybe now that they're back they can focus on the actual upgrade.
