I have been digging through the local codes all morning and honestly the contradictions here are just staggering. It feels like nobody at the city level wants to explain why some doors stay open while others are bolted shut so I am putting together a full document of questions to drop off at the office later today.

This is exactly why Gadsden cant keep any good businesses. Why make it so hard for people to make a living?
TOTAL BULLSHIT. My business is hurting enough as it is. Let us compete on even ground or quit picking on small business owners.
ridiculous. let people run their business. we need the tax money anyway
The city needs to stop picking winners and losers. Either let everyone have one or take them all away. Fair is fair.
If the state says it is fine then why does the city get to play god. Revoke the old ones if you wont let new ones open!

Enough with the double standards. It is time for the commission to be fair to everyone.
