For everyone who plays Club Penguin:

I'm sure we are all aware of the annoying, relentless, and relatively pointless spam bots that community "armies" use to spread the word and get penguins to join on their websites. I don't hate CP Armies, it's an old and original role-play idea, but it's gone too far.

I have multiple reasons against them:

1. Younger players are being drawn into other websites, which can be dangerous, and it's also a major breach of CP's rules: NO third-party advertising or hacking/cheating in game.

2. Bots are annoying and relentless. They ruin the atmosphere of Club Penguin and it's experience. Armies place anywhere from 3-up to 10 or more bots in one ROOM on ONE server. If they wanted to advertise with bots, they only need one in a couple rooms on a few servers. CP has tried countless times to block phrases they use to advertise their armies and sites, but they keep working around the filter with completely ridiculous phrases that no one will even understand them, especially younger players.

3. It's pointless, and actually is hurting armies more so than helping. In the old days (I've been playing sine early 2008) armies used to have fun on the island and spread their word with REAL PEOPLE with typing (not autotypers), or copy/paste methods, and it worked just fine. These bots and autotyper programs are only repelling people away for the most part, not pulling them in like the old method of ads did.

4. It's just wrong. Period. CP's moderators have a responsibility to keep players safe, and loading every server with countless bots is against the rules and is placing a pointless load on mods to block more and more phrases and ban more bots, to no avail. They do not need these bots in the way every waking moment when they are trying to do their real job: keeping actual players safe.

If you are as irritated as I am, sign this petition. It's time we at least try to make a change.
