Our concern over the club named "Turning Point" at Barton College will be conflicting within the campus community. The ideology, morals, and values of this organization will eradicate inclusiveness, respect, and supportive environments. This organization used imagery of a "Make America Great Again" hat and changed it to "Make America Godly Again". The MAGA symbol is associated with political concepts, not faith or religion. Using this style of imagery will create an offensive and unwelcoming environment on campus. We expect that our leaders take accountability on the lack of attention taken to this concern and address the matter by removing this club immediately. As students, we expect that the college uphold its moral ethics and strive to keep a safe and positive community for all.
