this community is diverse, with many elderly who have no cars and new families who are too swamped to travel this distance at strange hours..horrible idea and NOT good business practice!!

I am totally against the closure as this post office is within walking distance from my house. I would find it very inconvenient if i had to walk to any other branch to collect heavy parcels.

For local members of the community without cars the location of the alternative office is almost impossible to get to.
No thought has been given to local residents needs.

This is another down grade of postal services, making life more difficult. The closure of the very convenient post office in Gipsy Road a few years ago was vigorously opposed but no notice taken. The idea that public services should be run for the good of the public seems quite alien to those providing them.

This seems to be rather short sighted. As it is Royal Mail's remit always to return undelivered packets to the office people need to be able to access the office easily. A bus ride is not viable.

Although someone is almost always at home, Royal Mail / Parcelforce are quick to toss in a card saying the package could not be delivered and has to be picked up. If the West Norwood ofc is closed, the Anerley one is far away, not walking distance, and we would need to take at least one bus, maybe two. So many of us live in the catchment area of the West Norwood ofc at Crystal Palace triangle!

Anerley is long way for elder residents especially if using public transport. some of the workers have worked at the office for nearly thirty years

At the moment I try to order things online that will be delivered by Royal Mail, so that I can collect them from West Norwood Sorting Office if I'm out when delivery is attempted. Cycling up and down those huge hills to Penge will ensure that in future I will go for products that are delivered by other courier companies, which presently are less convenient for me.

Closure of the West Norwood sorting office will damage the local economy for both businesses and residents.
Royal Mail has given no cogent reasons either economic or of service quality that can support the proposal.
