unsure why it couldn't just be locked during the school day, it sounds silly to me, plus I know how much children love walking ahead with parents feeling safe knowing there are no roads, I hope they re think this for you all

Cannot see any reason why this gate should be closed, once children are in school the gate can be locked and opened again at home time, this was done in the past why not now

I think its safer for children to walk on the paths at the lower gater rather than having to go up to the main road. I have used this gate for the last 10 years with no problems

dont really understand why this would help if anything it will course more trouble everyone parking and having to use the top gate I feel the children's safety would be more at risk

for me the main entrance is in fact higher risk due to the fact it's on a main road, then once you have entered there's a car park to cross. parents will still have to walk down the side path next to the school so don't really see the point of it, but now the main entrance is going to be even more manic with crowns of people and even more traffic.
keep the gate open its absolutely ridiculous having one gate open on the main road! Open and close the gate at arrival and home time!

i think its putting children at risk by closing the gate as a lot if children go to school on their own

I think closure if the side gate will be more dangerous for the children, as a parent, grandparent and childminder i think the side gate gives our children more safety than a main road entrance, many children go to school on their own , on scooters and bikes, so it should remain open, its been usef since day one when school opened cant see a good enough reason to see it closed.
