The crime and needles along MARY Ave by Safeway is unacceptable. I don’t feel safe in my neighborhood. Let police enforce the law and prosecute crime!!

What has been done isn’t working. Ballard has become a drug user’s and thief’s utopia. Children are no longer safe here...what else will it take? Invite the rest of the country’s homeless population here, cuz the police won’t do anything?

This is ridiculous what's going on in this city & the money being spent for all the wrong things!

The tents on Mary need to go. It’s dangerous for my kids to simply go in a walk and go to the park anymore. Clean up our city and start taking real action

I am so distressed about the homelessness and drug use in my city and neighborhood! Stop immediately the funding to those groups that have failed to make a difference to these individuals!!

I live a bit further north, but agree Seattle needs to find and implement more effective solutions to rampant drug use, property crime (most likely related to drug use), and criminal negligence of the health and safety of those they claim they are trying to help. Anyone who thinks encampments like the one referenced is doing anything good for the residents is blind, stupid, or both.

This has got to end. If the city doesn’t start doing something radical about this I hope the citizens are ready to fight for their rights.

I signed it because I see what is happening to my city. I am moving and feel lucky to be getting out of this area. I can see it going down hill. I dont know what the answer is but I feel if someone wants to drug and drink themselves to death and not get help we shouldn't be the ones to suffer the consequences. I lost a wonderful step grandson last year to drugs and its horrible but he had choices. We treat it like an illness but it's not. It's a choice they make. Unless we can stop the younger ones this problem will triple in the years to come. There has to be some consequences for people using or in possession that will stop people from starting. As harsh as this sounds giving them the right to use is not going to work.

I agree that the organizations mentioned appear to do little to end homelessness. They are enabling it and this is not fair either to the homeless or the rest of the neighborhood.

Stop ruining this city.
