The Gender Pay Gap is the gap between women and men's pay check. The gender pay gap is applied in almost every job and tends to screw women by paying them less than men make on average of at least "79%" (Lets expose the gender pay gap, np) and this equals up to a loss of "$500,000 throughout the woman's entire career thus equaling less of a chance to succeed than men" (lets expose the gender pay gap, np) this means that say that a man is a single parent and a woman is a single parent if the woman makes that much less and she is a parent that make ruin their chances of being able to pay for their child's expenses and may mess up their ability to pay for their expenses as well, unless they have a job that is extremely well paying. So by increasing minimum wage for workers should help decrease the gap between men and women's pay check and should make working class people's lives a whole lot easier, so by increasing the minimum wage by 5 dollars it would make it so much easier
