As a UT-Arlington commuter, I know the anxiety and worry you guys face about school not being called off yet. Please close SMU. No exam / class is worth being any of your students or staff potentially injured or being killed.

I've slipped on the ice about 4 times today and twice last night, but luckily didn't fall. Each time I was able to catch myself, but if I hadn't I could have been seriously injured. The areas where I slipped were areas that either SMU cleared off, yet even though they looked fine, were still hazardous, or areas that they should have cleaned off, but never did. I think SMU should definitely cancel classes Monday for the sake of students on campus, students off campus, and all professors/faculty that have to commute to campus. With Highland Park ISD, Dallas ISD, along with major universities such as UTD closing, I see no reason why SMU shouldn't close as well. I keep hearing every Mustang will be valued.... if that was true, the school would take into account the physical health of all of its students.

Heck I don't even going to SMU I'm at UTD but I saw the pictures and the petition on Facebook, and I thought 'this is ridiculous, all the universities will be closed tomorrow in North Texas, why would SMU still open?"

It is not safe for student I be out and around campus with the campus being as hazardous as it is.

It is too dangerous for students to walk on roads that is filled with ice at the de-frozen stage and it might cause serious injuries.

I live 1 hr away from campus. My mom is scared because she knows my driving isn't the best.

DART Rail is not even running! How do you get to school if you use the rail/bus service combo?
