Since I have asthma I am concern for the health of myself and the health of others. My close friend’s father was recently infected and in a hospital for the coronavirus. He is sedated and his lungs are full of fluids. He lives in small town between by Clinton. Unknown of how he contracted it in the middle of nowhere.

It’s so much better to prevent fires than to put them out. Health & safety matters more than anything else.

The National Emergency is restricting crowds to stay home and not gather in one location yet the school district doesn't want to comply. Most of these children have grandparents and great grandparents in their families who are at the most risk at getting sick.

Please stop putting people at risk by continuing to have school when it is proven to help stop the spread by self-containment. Schools NEED to close to help with this cause.

The governor should close the schools statewide, but he’s not. To protect the students we love, their families, plus the staff and their families, please close the schools. We will find the resources to educate our students and provide them meals.

Maybe we are over-reacting. But at this point in time, under reacting may cause more harm. Pkease consider not just the children, but the educators and the families these children go home to. One district is offering 10 free meals per child under 18 ( 5 breakfasts and 5 lunches) to be picked up on Monday. Love this idea too for those children who need it.

Keeping kids socially distanced during lunch, passing time, and in classrooms where there is not more than 12 inches of space between students, will be IMPOSSIBLE. Why are we risking kids getting sick OR kids contracting the illness and not getting sick, but passing it on to others?

Area colleges are closed down yet keep elementary junior high and High School open when younger kids are more susceptible what kind of Common Sense is that and what about the children graduating this year are they going to hold graduation ceremonies at rlds or will it be closed cuz that's definitely more than a thousand people

I believe that keeping Fort Osage Schools open this coming week is a risky choice. Our number one job is to keep children safe.
