To many people come to school sick so if they have it they are more likely to spread through out the school

I go to Spotswood High School and I know how delicate my immune system is. I have a family with older and younger people that if I was potentially affected, they would be at risk. It is safest to let school become online and reduce the spread of infection.

There is no excuse to not match the level of precaution being taken by universities. It is vastly more feasible to temporary close down a school system than it is to undergo evacuation measures across an entire university, and yet they have done their due diligence. Not only has the NBA and hundreds of universities, including ivies, undergone appropriate safety procedures, but the US is declining any and all flights from Europe for the next 30 days. The burden now falls on school systems to expeditiously take the next step in halting this rapidly expanding pandemic. This is not something that can effectively be done sooner than later. This must be done immediately. Students in RCPS have gotten to the point that a large portion of them refuse handshakes from teachers and peers alike. Not only do we fear for our own health, but the health of our families.
RCPS, I am telling you now that the students will place the blame on you if this spirals out of control due to a lack of action on your end. Please do what is necessary to avoid this regrettable outcome.
