Drivers are using Fenny Drayton village as a 'cut through' to the A5, instead of using the Redgate/A5 junction. It is very dangerous on Old Forge Road and Drayton Lane due to these drivers cutting through the village and driving without due care and attention, but now with the A5 Mira roadworks, the traffic along these roads through the village was considered too dangerous and road closures were put in place. These have been moved on several occasions. The Police have been notified and they said better road closures need to be put in place to stop these people moving the signs. I believe we should petition to get the speed limit reduced in Fenny Drayton to 20mph and also get the Drayton Lane/A5 junction closed permanetly before a villager or other persons is killed.

By keeping this junction open, it causes Old Forge Road and Drayton Lane in Fenny Drayton village to be extremely dangerous village roads.
