Its frustrating to find you can book a cheap holiday and get a cheap flight but end up paying a small fortune to take your climbing gear on holiday with you, while others can pay a small nominal fee to take there sporting equipment with them ranging from Bicycles, golf equipment, skis, surfboards, wind surfers, hang gliders, and firearms. Is it too much to ask to have one rucksack of climbing gear. If you would like to show your support for climbing gear to be classed as sporting equipment please sign this petition

I have been reading your messages about the ridiculous fees you pay just to transport your harnesses and ropes. This has become so much more than a simple request as I prepare to reach out to the airlines with your stories in hand.

Seeing this grow makes me think of all the times I have been stuck at the check-in desk watching people with golf clubs pass through without a second thought. Your energy behind this issue proves that I am not the only one tired of being unfairly penalized for pursuing my passion.

Ridiculous. I can take a bike for peanuts but get charged double just to bring my harness and shoes? Makes zero sense.

YES PLEASE. tired of paying more for gear than for my actual ticket. climbing is a sport just like skiing is!!
