The Cleveland Community Film Center will serve the city and its artists by providing cameras, lights, microphones, editing facilities and other resources to those that do not typically have access to such expensive equipment, empowering the artists that have not had a voice in the city. There are many stories to be told that never come to light because filmmaking is such an expensive art form. Everyone in the greater Cleveland area will have free access to these resources just by being a resident. This will not only give filmmakers access to the equipment, but free up their budget so that they may pay their cast and crew! The facility will also house state-of-the-art editing and post-production facilities as well as trained staff members to help the filmmakers complete their projects. With so many talented artists fleeing our city for more artist-friendly communities, this program will give them a reason to not only stay but thrive right here at home.
