Dear President Obama. My name is Nakisha Howard. I'm writing you this letter in reference to the to prisoners sentences in which you had commuted and granted. However, my mother, Nataska Howard is currently doing a 30 year sentence for possession of less than 5 grams of crack/cocaine. She's currently been imprisoned for 11 years now. This has really taken a toll on my life and my family's do to the fact that the time she's been given is such a massive period of time. It's very difficult to cope with the fact of not seeing her everyday and knowing that she is healthy. This has been a stressful and nerve-racking journey. Just a few months ago she was rushed to the hospital and fractured her bottom teeth finding out that her blood level was very low. She could've lost her life after just possession of 4grams of crack cocaine. Unfortunately, every appeal shes ever requested has been denied. With all things considered, I just beg of you to provide her with a clemency grant.
