Remove CLEARWIRE tower from Trossachs neighborhood
The new \"tower\" that has been erected on Trossachs Blvd. was built as a \"replacement light pole\" for Puget Sound Energy (PSE). PSE agreed to allow Clearwire to place wireless technology on the pole with the approval of the city of Sammamish. Our homeowners association, CDC Management, has explained to the Senior City Planner for the City of Sammamish that whatever the \"tower\" is, it looks like something out of an Arnold Schwarzenegger \"Terminator\" movie, and that we believe it to be totally inappropriate for a residential neighborhood. At CDC\'s request, the city has agreed to set up an on-site meeting to evaluate the \"tower\" first hand. Once Sammamish officials come and get a clear perspective of what we are talking about, they should conclude that this \"replacement light pole\" was a mistake and require PSE and/or Clearwire to take the appropriate action (remove the tower). CDC has also contacted PSE to discuss the size, placement and appropriateness of this \"replacement light pole\" in our neighborhood. Note: The \"wireless technology\" in this case supports only Clearwire and their mobile broadband service, not our cellular phone providers. Do not be fooled by the argument that this tower is a necessary evil in exchange for the convenience of our cell phones from AT&T, Verizon, Sprint and T-Mobile. Please sign this petition if to support CDC\'s efforts on our behalf and insist that the Mayor and City Council of Sammamish personally visit the \"tower\" to make this evaluation. As Trossachs homeowners, we cannot allow this kind of eyesore to be erected in our neighborhood, and we will not support any company that intends to profit from its use.
