The clear earings are designed to be CLEAR. so that you cant see them. I think this rule should be dropped, and that we should be allowed to wear the CLEAR earings or even just plain silver or gold studs, like most other schools in NZ

I think having clear-earrings should be allowed as some people need to have earrings in to stop them from closing over. Especially if they are new

Clear earrings are very important for people who have just gotten their ears pierced or are planning to. I know a few people, including myself, who are wanting to get their ears pierced in the holidays but can't, as our piercings won't be able to heal and may likely even get infected, or if we already have piercings they might close up, just because we aren't allowed to wear simple clear earrings. Most schools are allowed to wear stud earrings so it's not like we are the only school wearing them, and clear ones aren't visible so it doesn't distract from our uniform. This rule doesn't make sense, clear earrings are called clear because you can't see them, and are invented so that students can wear them.

I think that we should be allowed to wear clear earrings to school. other schools allow it and you can barely see the earrings.

Personally, I think that it's ridiculous that girls at SKC can't wear clear earrings or even studs for that matter. If Mungos sold clear earrings or simple studs, not only does it prevent earring holes from closing up and nasty infections, but it also means that SKC is getting a big profit from it too! Girls at SKC should be allowed to wear clear earrings. It's hardly noticeable and it doesn't take away from the initial pride of our uniform.

I think that we should totally be allowed to wear clear earrings if we are not allowed to wear studs. Clear earrings are tidy, neat looking and cheap. They don't make us look untidy or messy. If anything they control what we are allowed to wear because all clear earrings are the same. You can hardly even see them so why do they effect our 'reputation'. Heaps of girl have piercings that we don't want to risk closing or getting infected and most of us have had them for ages so we couldn't avoided getting them done. I reckon there is nothing wrong with clear earrings and that they should be encouraged to be worn with school uniform.

All girls are made to go to school fearing that teachers will yell at them for wearing something that in certain forms looks quite tidy and makes girls feel a little prettier. I personally love wearing earings and it does make me feel sad that saint kents could not allow just at least a little (tidy) bling on our ears! Sometimes girls get their ears pearced in the holidays but that still isnt enough time for them to heal and it is unfair if you are told to take them out, basically wasting your money and time getting them. So i am for earings being allowed at school but they must be clear or blue (they should sell them at mungos) you have my support.

I think they should be allowed so that we don't have the problem of our ears closing up and it's not like it's going to lower the reputation of our school but wearing clear earrings.

I think clear-earrings should be allowed. I don't feel that having clear-earrings makes the uniform any less from what it would be.

I support this idea. They do not have much impact on the appearance of school uniform, and they are quite important for people with ear-piercings.

i think we should be allowed clear-earrings, as then we can leave them in and not worry about our holes closing up over the term.

I believe that this rule is pointless and it should be abolished as the clear earrings are designed to be invisible so people can wear them at school, while still following the dress code. There have been several occasions where my ears have nearly closed up because I hadn't be able to wear earrings during the day.

Clear earrings should be allowed, the current rule banning them isn't stopping anyone anyway, so why have it in place?
