I have been spending hours on the phone trying to reach someone at the sanitation department who actually knows why the contract was cut in the first place. The silence from the city is honestly deafening but the feedback from people who walk these blocks every morning is just heartbreaking because this is our home and we deserve better.

The quarter is already a mess. If we stop cleaning it now nobody is going to want to come back here. Do your job.
its the heart of the city how can you just stop picking up the garbage??? makes zero sense
TRASH EVERYWHERE. It is embarrassing when I have friends visiting from out of state! Fix this ASAP.
Tourists keep this city alive. If the streets are gross they will just stop coming. Think about the local economy for once.
NOLA is better than this. Get the crews back out there.

walked down bourbon st yesterday and it smelled awful. needs to be cleaned daily or the whole place will go downhill fast.
