All residents and tourists must remove their beach belongings off the beach at the end of the day. It is a law. Leaving them there is unsightly and dangerous. Those who are in power need to enforce the law on Garden City beach immediately.

The fact that I am having to sign a petition for something that is already in place but not being enforced is government at its best. (insert eye roll)

It’s completely ridiculous that people are allowed to continually come here and trash our beaches.... the ordinances is already in place, it just needs to be enforced!!! Not only is it very disrespectful to our residents but it is dangerous and life threatening to our sea turtles.

This is a disgrace. Such a beautiful beach and people treat it like a garbage can. People should be fined

As a volunteer for Garden City SCUTE, I can say this is absolutely needed. Other beaches have and actually enforce similar laws. Garden City needs to step up and do so as well. The plastic trash left from fireworks also desperately needs to be addressed. GC is a beautiful beach, but will not remain so if these issues are not enforced.

Shame on us if we neglect to protect our environment. I have seen this problem grow and grow over the years. It is about time we put a stop to it!

Just because someone rents a house/condo for a week doesn’t mean they’ve rented the sand in front of the house/condo. The beaches are for everyone to enjoy and to take care of. Please sign.

The tents are nice but people get ridiculous with them. Example; leaving them on the beach over night or getting out there before sunrise. They then become hazards to wildlife and also people who do early morning walks or late evening walks.

I grew up in the area. Am ashamed of the level of debris allowed to litter beaches currently.
