The amount of trash left on our beaches every single day is awful! Enforcing this ordinance is a big step in the right direction.

I have a house a mile from the beach and routinely walk and clean up garbage and fill in holes around Garden City Pier and Surfside Pier. Something needs to be done about the mess the tourist ( and others) make - especially around the 4th of July!

Until I injured my foot, I walked South on the beach and picked up garbage. I’ve done several beach sweeps with the realtors!

Hard to understand why Georgetown County can’t send people to get these items off the beach, yet they regularly send trucks with at least two people to pick up a trash can and dump it at the beach walkways.

If we did not have resources to pay our taxes would that be an excuse. I think not so why do we have to accept this as their excuse. I met with John Thomas, head of County Council and Wes Hemingway, County Manager with very positive results. We see everything you mentioned daily and realize rental agencies do nothing to inform renters.

Visitors and residents who do this should be fined and have to pay for garbage removal. If you can't afford manpower, install cameras and monitor them.
Please enforce this law.
