As an advocate of the Cleaner Thames campaign, I would like to petition against littering in the River Thames. This crisis is vital to everyone as the cleanliness of the river affects the population of London, plus it harms and threatens our wildlife. Furthermore, we are a part of the next generation so we must conserve the River Thames to use the river for leisure and to stay safe.

Through this petition, I would like to stop citizens from littering in the River Thames. In addition, I would want this petition to encourage the government to raise awareness and provide solutions to discontinue littering in the Thames. This is because, it is the government's responsibility to keep the water quality clean. We expect the government to provide a grant for charities like Thames 21, who voluntarily clean up the river however, they need funds to continue their contribution to cleaning the environment. We also believe that the government should prosecute offenders and introduce spot fines to act as a deterrent.
