Please help us create this awareness to help aquatic and stray animals from harming themselves on unnecessary littering.

Up to five tonnes of rubbish is deposited on average everyday on public beaches in Jumeirah and Umm Suqueim, however, many of this isn't collected by the Waste Services at Dubai Municipality. It is a common occurence finding rubbish bags floating in the sea and empty cans and bottles abandoned on the sand.Cigarette butts do not disintegrate for five years, yet, this is the most common type of rubbish left on the beaches.

Leaving rubbish on the beaches creates a dangerous environment for the stray animals and humans who walk the beaches at night. Aquatic animals can get trapped inside rubbish bags left in the sea, stray animals may eat rubbish left behind which can harm them greatly. Also, visitors may step on sharp objects which may cut them.
