Clean, Cool Air for Novato High School/Lu Sutton Elementary/Rancho Elementary

It’s insane that any school in the NUSD does not have AC. For kids to learn they need to be in a comfortable environment. Heat stroke and head exhaustion are real. Perhaps it will take a child getting very ill before NUSD takes the matter more seriously.

It would be a big plus in the learning process. For both teachers and students.

As Ron Swanson once said, "never half-ass two things. whole ass one thing". Make sure the primary learning environment is basically conducive to learning before adding a bunch of fancy extracurriculars

Novato students cannot learn when they cannot focus because their classrooms are stifling in the heat. Let’s show our students and teachers that we value their working and learning environments!

Protect our children’s health and allow them to learn at their highest level at school.

Kids need to be comfortable to learn and do well, please.

Our kids need air conditioning!

Air quality and temperature are crucial to an atmosphere where learning can occur. It’s a basic need that is being overlooked for more flashy additions of PAC, Science wing and new fields.

My friend is a teacher here and I support a healthy environment for her and her students. If my child was in a classroom that got over 90 degrees while she was trying to retain information, I would be pulling her out of that school.

All students and staff deserve cool clean air.

Who made the decision that the admins could have air conditioning but not the students and teachers? Very concerning! It’s time to add air conditioning for all...

Air conditioning is not a luxury, it is a classroom necessity. Students cannot learn when a room is hot and stuffy. Valuable instructional time is lost.

My students can't learn and sweat at the same time. Or district has an Equity Imperative. Please provide an equitable learning environment for all.

hopefully it wont take a lawsuit in order for the Board to see the light here....

It’s unrealistic for students to learn in stifling hot classrooms. This is the next step - we have solar - let’s do it!

It is critical to provide sic con for all Novato Schools. How can three schools be left out? Equity?

My son is starting the second grade, and he is very sensitive to heat. All Novato schools should have this, I feel it is a basic necessity.
