I can’t believe this is even up for discussion. This was a child who was ONE month out from graduation, his parents would to have already purchased a cap and gown. This is such a small community and the administration should support what his classmates want to do. I think he should have an open seat as well as him to be recognized and his parents to receive his diploma.

Holden High School lost a senior from suicidide in the 2016 graduating class and we left a seat open for him at graduation. It’s the right thing to do.

What on Earth would it hurt to do this for the Class of 2018? So long as anyone else who may have passed away is included....why not? Talk about isolating and segregating at a time when focus should be on uniting our children in a POSITIVE way! How frustrating to hear!

I believe as a class we should not be denied the opportunity to honor a fellow classmate who went through the same hardships with us over the years and earned his seat just like the rest of us. He has been here his whole life the last thing we can do for him, his family and friends is recognizie a milestone he had had been working for all these years.

This is about a young man who lost his life, and his classmates want to honor him respectfully. This shouldn't be an issue it's called RESPECT. Grant these classmates their last wish for this young man because this is their graduating class, and not the administrators.
