After suffering all the withdrawal symptoms and being off of this drug for 6 months, I have no idea how to get back to normal. I have never been so agitated and sick & my body and mind are worse than before I took Venaflaxine ER

I do not have an official PSSD diagnosis. But I do have a official PGAD diagnosis, my battle with this living hell is well documented as I've been to multiple Doctor's and specialist's.All to no avail, my symptoms began shortly after being taken off a four to five year prescription of Effexor, and I don't think its coincidence,my life has been turned upside down with thoughts of suicide as I see no end to this torment in sight.

Effexor XR has destroyed my life.
I have been on effexor for 13 years. Initially I was put on Effexor XR for major depression and it did lift me out of the suicidal state I was in but it had devastating side effects that I was not informed about and were not listed by the drug company.
Namely I developed a compulsion to drink (I never had prior to this medication) to excess and became an alcoholic. I would binge drink to the point of blacking out. The alcohol in combination with the effexor caused me to say and do many things completely out of character that destroyed relationships, friendships and family. I could not stop drinking however. At no point did my Psychiatrist tell me there was any link or suggest taking me off the drug. It ruined me financially. I tried many times to withdraw from the drug only to be hit with unbearable withdrawal side effects. 3 years ago I decided enough was enough and began a slow tapered withdrawal to come off it. The side effects resulted in me becoming a recluse, unable to socialize or function normally. I lost many friendships, my job and career prospects. I ended up on a disability pension to which I remain to this day. I have no life and no friends. I am still on effexor as I could not withdraw from it totally because of its unbearable side effects. I don't think I will ever be off this medication. I think the drug companies are evil and have conned many people into believing these drugs are a solution. They don't tell you about the terrible side effects which are worse than the condition you originally were out on them for. The studies have shown these medications were rushed through with highly suspect trials that were deceptive all in the name of money to be made. I feel strongly that people on these drugs are guinea pigs for the drug companies and medical establishment. It is a travesty of epic proportions and nothing can replace the lives and years of life that have been ruined as a result. I doubt a class action lawsui

this drug change my whole life, obese, shortness of breathe, shock reactions of movement, blurry vision, high blood pressure, high risked of diabetes, withdrawl the moment you don't take it

Drug Seroquel has destroyed my family. Son went insane while on medication for schizophrenia and murdered my mom, sister and granddaughter. He had started on medications for 4 months before tragedy.

Nephew murdered my mom, my sister and his own 7 year old daughter while taking Seroquel for schizophrenia. He was experiencing hallucinations at time of shooting, thought they were devils coming after him. All of our lives have been ruined.

On Effexor for 9 years, off now for 8 months. Dealing daily with devastating withdrawal symptoms including:
Fatigue, inability to concentrate, inability to focus, extreme depressive episodes, dizziness, blurred vision, and the list goes on.
