Ativan messed me up bad, and the "doctors" kept pushing it on me, because they don't give a damn!

Lexapro incited a months-long state of mania during which I effectively destroyed my life. :D

Ativan has ruined my life. Three years ago I had to begin taking Social Security early, receive very little monthly and cannot work because of my physical condition....vertigo/dizziness, problem focusing, irritability, eye problems, digestive problems, insomnia, weakness, panic attacks, shaking of body, head and limbs, the list of problems go on and on..

Trying to get off Effexor is suicidal no matter which way we try. The drugs are made specifically to keep the people on it. That way the "company" makes billions of dollars. That is what it is.

My life became hell when I tried to withdraw from xanax and I was never told that it was addictive

I was on Alprazolam (xanax) for almost 20 years for fibromyalgia. Yes I always felt like I was 'outside' of my own body, but it helped the fibromyalgia so I blindly followed my doctor'S advice to keep taking it. I've now been off of it for six months, and have continued anxiety attacks that come with prickly skin and depression. I'm afraid this will go on for a long time.

I took prozac for several years and it made me crazy. I did impulsive things, lost my job family members and friends. I got more depressed, and developed real bad insomnia. I stopped taking this in June 2016, but my mind isn't recovered. I than took ativan to treat my insomnia and had memory problems, confusion, mood swings and developed gastroparesis. I'm going through withdrawal since I stopped taking this.

Hello my name is Adam I was arrested while on probation due to having a dirty urinalysis. I was prescribed 2mg of xanax 3 times daily. I was stripped of my medications and put in a one mon cell on the floor with another inmate. By the fifth day hallucinations were so vivid an unbelievable I felt I was living in some fantasy land. This could have killed me. I was then stripped of my clothes and put into the psych unit where I did not receive a shower. This was absolutely the worst nightmare I had lived for two weeks. It has been over 100 days and I'm feeling better each day . I can honestly say xanax is the worst drug out there and if you wanna get off of it. I would highly recommend that you go to detox where you can seek the proper medical attention. I can assure you that if arrested and stripped from your medications you can die. I am always willing to help someone with the process. So if you would like help to get off this terrible drug. I would be more than happy to point you in the right direction for help. My email is [email protected]

I have been on various SSRI's including but not limited to Prozac, Zoloft, Pristiq, and Wellbutrin, as well as the Benzodiazepine Alprazolam (Xanax) for just over 14 months today. It has caused me to lose precious time and money as far as my schooling is concerned and made my anxiety issues worse. Xanax has caused me and thousands of others to hit rock bottom from what I can tell and pharmaceutical companies need to take it seriously. Enough with the greed.

It also messed up my life. I feel as though it made me completely absent minded to all things that mattered. I wish I could erase that part of my life.

I took Effexor for about 2 yrs. Before that I had an awesome credit score, mutual fund and a savings account with money! I had a great driving record. Now I am trying to pay off credit cards, I have no more savings spent my last bit of mutual funds I saved to get the electricity turned back on. I have had 2 wrecks totally both cars and a handful of traffic tickets. My insurance has sky rocketed. I had these great wonderful crafty ideas that have now cluttered my house. I hid my spending from my family. I was numb to all things that should of mattered. Now that I am off the medication everything is hitting me at once. I am trying to figure out how to get my life back in order. I wish that I would of been informed that I might commit financial suicide and become a reckless driver. Someone look at me in the eyes and say "this might really help you but pay attention to all this... really think about it before you commit to something that might ruin your life". It doesn't seem fair. Pharmaceutical companies profit while life's are destroyed. I do believe antidepressents help some people but they should not be so carelessly prescribed. I do not blame my doctor as while I was taking the medication I was not completely honest with her (hello side effect). I do feel as though there should be more control and more checks and balances to ensure the medication is safe and affective.

I was hospitalized and given seroquel. This drug caused severe trembling and anxiety. I gained so much weight and have severe stomach issues. Seroquel should be called Serokill. I am no better physically. I look like I have Parkinsonism. Please get this antipsychotic off the market.

Effexor destroyed my life. I lost my job and in legal trouble. It rewired my brain. I did things I never did before. I was not monitored while on this drug. My PCP gave it to me and said it would help.
