10 years ago, Paxil nearly cost me my life, diagnosed with major depression at the time, now I know better, coming of the drug following my doctor`s advise caused severe withdrawl symptons, I experienced hell on earth, the most traumatic time in my life. My children lost their mother for nearly 2 years. Time we get recognition and support for the crippling and devastating effects of withdrawl.

I suffer from memory loss and hallucinations. After taking it for 3 years I started to forget things about my childhood and I would hear voices and see things. I stopped taking it and now I cant remember important event that happened in my life and I find it extremely hard to remember things, I cant focus on school because I forget what I learned hours later.

I was prescribed Venlafaxine for mild anxiety, I was only on 75mg for approx 18 months then when I decided to come off it, mainly because I felt like I’d turned into a zombie, I found that I couldn’t just come off it!!! The withdrawals were absolutely horrific but with the support, advice and information which I found from an online group and after 7 months tapering using liquid Venlafaxine (my GP was amazing) I finally got down to 0.5mg then after another month or so, I was off it! 7 months down the line, drug free, I still feel like I’m affected by the experience, I occasionally have brain shivers and I’ve changed emotionally, I don’t feel like I have strong feelings anymore. My concentration is shocking and sometimes I can
hardly string an email together which affects my work! I sincerely hope the big Pharmas pay the price for their mistakes!

No one told me about the side affects of these meds. Not the Dr. nor pharmacist. I accidentally stopped taking Cymbalta because I was out on a Friday, with no refills. I actually thought to myself that it's not a narcotic so no big deal. 12 hours later I was in pure hell. By the time I remembered that it still wasn't filled, 5 days later, I was so bad I couldn't even drive. My pharmacist said to get there immediately for an emergency supply. I had to send my 16 year old daughter to go get it because I was so out of my mind. It took me a good two weeks to feel somewhat back to normal, and now I believe that I will never be able to stop it because of this, and I will infact get dementia, since my memory is so bad already since I started it, and I'm only 43. Thank you.

Zoloft pushed me to jump at a subway train. Destroyed my body. Doctors wouldn't listen to me and gave me a second ssri. Prozac, back into psychosis in three days.
Zoloft and resperidone destroyed my life
I had gotten my TD from these! Get them!
I have suffered Venlafaxine (Effexor) discontinuation syndrome for six months.
