Paxil RUINED my life. If there ever is a class action that comes up, I want in!

There NEEDS to be a class action lawsuit against the makers of these Benzos. Watching the documentary MEDICATING NORMAL and having my loved one go through hell....those doctors and manufacturers need to pay for what they did.

Hope I live to see a successful class action against the makers of benzos, who KNOW the harm they have done.

I was given this treatment twice under different names in late 1980s and the early 1990s. I had severe withdrawal symptoms after coming off the drugs even though I did not take them for long and was not told that I should not come off them straight away. My doctors did nothing for me even though the symptoms were life destroying and lasted for years, indeed I have never been able to live life normally since.

I have beenon Celexa for over 15 years. I have almost all the side effects you have listed.

I have suffered greatly, and still do, dealing with severe withdrawal from the drug escitalopram. I was not informed whatsoever about the consequences of going off the drug and am not convinced that my brain zaps will ever subside, as has been the testimony of countless others.

30 years of Spin Cycle! Anxiety CAUSED BY ANTIDEPRESSANTS! Each Medication added caused new symptoms. NEEDING ANOTHER DRUG. MAJOR DEPRESSION is what they call a patient who has not been CURED after taking these drugs for 30 years. Permanent NERVE DAMAGE .. BRAIN DAMAGE is the result. Lost MEMORY OF 4 year blocks of time. Cognition getting worse every day. Permanent NERVE DAMAGE caused 24/7 Chronic pain. Mobility is now effected and now loosing Nerve and Muscle control in my hands and feet. These drugs effected and damaged my Central Nervous System. I am a 54 year old living in the body of a 98 year old and have been for years. Quality of life lost. Dementia is what they told my kids I would most likely have TEN YEARS AGO! I was only 44 years old! Obviously this was all caused by 30 years of taking Ativan and a host of other dangerous antidepressant and anti anxiety medications. One of the side effects now listed on Wellbuterin pamphlet NOW! Where was that warning when they were adding all the anti anxiety prescriptions to my drug list? They KNEW the antidepressant was causing Anxiety. They admit it when they prescribed Anti Anxiety drugs like ATIVAN! When the anxiety was so severe they just increased the ATIVAN DOSE. 1MG FOUR TIMES DAILY! Cocktail for Death! I have lost my career, my husband, my home. My Quality of LIFE! My family lost me. Anxiety so severe I have missed just about every important occasion or holiday with family for the last 25 years. When will they be stopped?

I was prescribed prozac when I was 14 and it gave me manic depressive cycles that did not exist previously. I am also being rapidly tapered off of klonopin right now and I am suffering severe side effects, but my multiple complaints to my doctors have fallen on deaf ears.

Took BENZOS for over 15 years then suddenly they are "addictive" I took the cold turkey rout which was hell. Still crave the little buggers.

Screw you Big Pharma. Benzodiazepines should not be given out like candy from our “trustworthy” doctors.

I suffer serious side effects from ativan and Ativan.

I've gone through sudden cessation and had multiple seizures and hallucinations, lost my license and couldn't work for years. I'm now tapering off klonopin and can't work and my memory is destroyed. I can't work and have neuropathy and pain constantly with anxiety, tremors, depression and insomnia is the worst. I've lost my livelihood, friends family and soon my home all because I was not informed about the dependence issue.

I am a man maimed by psychiatry. Without these drugs I can function much better, although the damage is done.

Benzodiazepine withdrawal has caused me more horror and pain than any other drug I was freely prescribed. In my area of Canada, doctors know little to nothing about how to taper. These damaging drugs run completely against the the Hippocratic Oath to "do no harm". Not only do these drugs damage but they make life a living hell. Love to all battling or recovering from the list of horrendous drugs we have been precribed.
