SSRIs have literally ruined my life and I'm angry at my parents for putting me on them at a young age without me knowing what they will do. I'm suicidal because I'll probably live like this for the rest of my life.

My son ended up in a vegetative state temporarily with Risperidone. None of the antipsychotics are safe by what I've seen.

I was prescribed Ativan to treat severe anxiety and panic attacks after the birth of my first born child in 1981 . I was only 18yrs of age and totally naive and didn’t know how harmful and addictive this drug is . I have tried to come off this drug in 2006 and became very ill to the fact that I suffered a mini stroke . My gp has to put me back on Ativan as my body could not function without it . I am now 57yrs of age and have gone through my life totally dependent on this drug . I want to take legal action now as my life and health has been destroyed.

The SSRI type drugs have very negatively impacted my life. I now suffer from protracted withdrawal as well as PSSD and peripheral neuropathy. God have mercy on these companies. They've known for over 30 years about all of this and they have done nothing. It is very sad. My only hope now is to help others by spreading awareness so that they may be spared this fate

I was assured my fears of permanent effects were unrealistic. Yet its common and I wasn't told about it even being possible. My whole life is ruined as I feel more hopeless and suicidal now my emotions have been numbed.

I haven't recovered after 4 years off of fluoxetine. My life has been destroyed with no end in sight.

I took Celexa for almost 2 years, have been off for over 1 year, and I am still struggling to regain my full sex drive and personality back. I went over a year with absolutely no libido after going off Celexa. I was not adequately warned that the side effects of Celexa could be so severe and life altering. It is an outrage that Celexa, along with other SSRI medications, can be prescribed so easily to young adults, without adequate warning of the potential side effects.

This class of medications does more harm over time than it does good. Withdrawal from them is fraught with more health problems and psychological difficulties than one would think possible. No one should be given a psychoactive drug that it's as hard or harder to withdraw from than methadone, heroin, or other drugs of that nature.

I´ve go through hell withdrawing from Venlafaxine. Muscle pains, joint pains, brain zaps, electric shocks through he body, severe head and neck pains, major sleeping problems a total loss of energy I can make the list so much longer. These drugs should only be for people with really bad conditions and under strict supervision.

These drugs cause many problems and are extremely hard to come off of.

I consider myself one of the fortunate ones, because I'm a survivor. Many others have not been so fortunate. I started developing Serotonin Syndrome in Aug 2018, 4 years after starting sertraline for supposed PMDD. All I had at the time was transient hypertension. I believe sertraline actually caused me to develop PMDD. I suffered 6 mths of horrendous, tortuous symptoms, all leading up to suicidal rage, before finally finding someone to treat me for SS, after having to do my own research to find out what was wrong with me and how to treat it. The few docs that have heard of SS, only seem to recognize it as an acute condition. Going so long without treatment caused me to develop traumatic memory and PTSD. I have been healed of this with DNRS(Dunamic Neural Retraining System), but I'm still dealing with many med and food intolerances. I believe I now have an autoimmune disorder from damage to my gut microbiome, which is causing this, plus causing recurrent boils, that I've never had before. When I first started having symptoms of serotinin syndrome, the only meds I was taking were sertraline, biotin, and Flonase. I don't understand why sertraline and similiar drugs are legal, with the possibility of such inhumane symptoms! Docs are unaware of how to get patients off these poisons safely, either. PLEASE, SOMEBODY DO SOMETHING! NO HUMAN BEING SHOULD EVER HAVE TO EXPERIENCE WHAT THE VICTIMS OF THESE DRUGS HAVE EXPERIENCED!!!

I have dealt with PSSD, post-SSRI sexual dysfunction, since 2005, after taking Paxil and then Prozac. This is a debilitating condition which has severely reduced my ability to sustain relationships and my wellbeing. There is no known treatment to restore my normal sexuality and ability to feel pleasure. I contemplate suicide regularly. These drugs should no longer be prescribed and the victims should see compensation for untold damages.
